Students from the Puerto de Chancay Chess School obtain 14 medals in school championships

Chancay, November 2, 2021. The Puerto de Chancay Chess School participated in the Central North Regional School Championship (October 16 and 17) and in the National School Championship (October 29 to November 1), held in Huaral , where the students were recognized for their great performance and sports environment, reaching a total of 14 medals: 9 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze.
Among the recognitions of Chancayan talent, the 2 gold medals that Luis Yamil Pérez achieved stand out, consolidating himself as the Sub 09 National Champion. Also, the student Luis Ángel Ramirez, who obtained the silver medal as Sub 14 National Sub-champion. It is important to point out that, Thanks to the good performance of Luis Yamil Pérez, he qualified to participate in the XVII South American Youth Festival, which will be held from January 24 to 30, 2022 in Guayaquil, Ecuador, which awards titles the International Chess Federation (FIDE), the maximum entity of this sport.
The Chess School closed its calendar year of sports competitions and is awaiting the official list of regional and national championships for 2022, in which Cosco Shipping Ports Chancay Perú S.A. (CSPCP), committed to youth and sport as an agent of social change, will continue to support the registration and logistics costs of each participation.
